Intelligender - Baby Bedding - 14 week Update
Well, we aren't officially through week 14 but we are 1/2 way through it.
The main reason for my post is to tell you that Bryce and I did the Intellegender Test yesterday morning. For those of you that do not know what this is.... it's a test that you can take at home to see if you are having a boy or girl. It's more for fun but there is a 90% accuracy rating for this test. I read about this test on a friend of mines Facebook but didn't think twice about it. Then my best friend Liz told me more about it. It sounded fun so my mom and I went to buy one on Saturday. To explain to you how this test works, you use your first morning urine and follow the STRICT rules to the test. That said, I got up yesterday morning, collected my First morning urine in a cup and then used a suringe (they provide) and put 20cc of urine in this test kit. This test cup has a mixture in that will activate when you mix the urine and swirl the test. You leave this sitting for 10 minutes and then you go back to check on it. If the color is Yellow/Orange it's a girl and if it's a Green, Smokey color it's a boy. When we first walked into the room the mixture was very yellow/orange... Meaning GIRL! After we tampered with it (Which is a HUGE NO NO) the mixture did change to a green color. However with that said, you read the results while the test is sitting still. The rules specifically state that you can not touch the test kit when reading the results. Either way... it said girl. Just to back that up, we took the old fashioned "DRANO" test too... That also came out reading girl. We'll see! Only 5 weeks left until we find out.
ALSO.....
It’s official… well, the baby’s bedding that is. Bryce and I have made our final choice on bedding for either a boy or a girl.
Below is a link to show you the bedding we plan to use if it’s a boy. We have had this bedding picked out for quite some time now and we haven’t found anything else that comes close to our liking (for a boy). We plan to split the room in half using the chair railing. We will be painting the bottom portion a Navy Blue and the top portion Khaki. We will keep the chair railing white (I think). There isn’t a particular “theme” but it will allow us to use blue and brown throughout. To us, it looks sophisticated.

If it’s s girl we are going to be a little unique and go with this set. It’s not pink, purple or anything like that. But it’s something that we both fell in love with when we saw it. We have looked at several different bedding sets for girls but we keep coming back to this one. Again, we will divide the room into two halves. The bottom portion will be a color similar to the paint color on the walls in the picture. I’m not quite sure on the top color… it might be khaki as well. Bryce and I aren’t too fond of the “girly” colors but LOVE these colors. They are very soothing and “spa-like” (or so we think).

Anyway, just wanted to share with you all and give you an idea of where we are going with the décor.
