Enjoying our little man...
He's already changed so much since his birthday. It's amazing how fast they grow and change. B and I couldn't be more smitten over our little buddy. We absolutely LOVE having him home and we are enjoying every second. My favorite time with him is during his night feedings. As tired as I might be when I have to get up, it's so worth the cuddle time while he is eating. My second favorite time is during the morning wake time. He is so happy and alert. I just love, love, love this little boy!
Last night we went to church and because we go to a very large church (8-10 thousand people) we chose not to take him. With the flu going around and him being so young we didn't want to chance anything. Instead he stayed with his Gigi and Pops (B's Parents). They live right down the street so it worked out great and they had a great time watching him.
After church we headed to Target to exchange some diapers. We have realized that Pampers Swaddlers are the best diaper choice for Kyah. Every time we use Huggies we have leaks (ewwwy). While we were there we picked up a few other things as well. It's funny what small changes you make when you have a little one. I bought new dishwashing soap... one with a Pump. When you are holding your baby and need a squirt of dish soap in the bottle, you quickly realize that having a pump on the soap would be a miracle. That said, I bought the Dawn Foaming Pump Dish Soap. Great buy! We also picked up some new Baby Laundry Detergent. I have been told that you can use the same detergent for adults (Tide Sensitive Skin, etc) but at this point, with him being so young still, I want to make sure that we use the good kind.
After Target, we went to the Mall. I wanted a few new Shirts from Express. I still have a ways to go before my tummy goes back to normal, but when it does I want shirts on hand. They are so cute and I can't wait to wear them. Mentioning getting back to normal, I was 171 lbs prior to deliver. I weighed myself this morning and I am 142lbs. I have about 12 lbs left to lose to be where I want to be but I am feeling good about the progress made. My tummy is still swollen from the surgery and just having a baby and I still need to work on my thighs. Here's a picture of me 2 weeks post baby/post surgery. (I still look 5 months pregnant, but we are getting there).
This is where I was 2 weeks ago...
ANYWAYS...
Once we were done at the Mall we headed to Gigi and Pops to pick up Kyah. He was such a good boy for them. Slept the whole time, had one poopy diaper and then ate his dinner.
When we got home we turned on the Texas Tech vs. Texas game, had some friends over and enjoyed the game. Overall, yesterday was a great day!
Here are a few pictures of our little buddy that I snapped yesterday.

super cute!
I totally agree with you that Pampers Swaddlers are the best diapers! We have also experienced leaks every time with Huggies.
It's fun getting to learn things about what works for you and your little man!
Sean and I are still learning things, and I'm sure that will continue on for years to come!
And PS you look AMAZING and will no doubt be back to normal before you know it!
Me, on the other hand... I have some serious work to do!!!!
We used Pampers Swaddlers Religiously! We too had leaks with Huggies. And I am totally jealous of your post baby body! You look fabulous!

Congratulations on your little sweetness, too!
He is just adorable, and you will be back to the weight you want before you know it. However, I am back to the weight I want, and now I just need to work on getting my pre-pregnancy body back! Pampers Swaddlers have been the best choice for our little man as well!
Isn’t it crazy?!?! I can’t believe it when I look at baby pictures of my little man and think how quickly he has changed or how much he looks more like me or his daddy! Crazy!
