Happy 2 months my sweet pumpkin!
Have a dropped off the blogging planet or what? Sorry it's been so long. It's been a little busy around here.
My mother and I went to Lufkin TX to visit her parents and introduce Kyah to the rest of the family. He was even able to meet his Great-Great Grandmother.
I put him to bed the night before around 9pm because I knew we had to leave around 7am the next morning. I actually had to wake him up that morning around 6:40am to get him ready. I felt like such a mean mommy. After he was dressed we hit the road. I picked my mom up at her house and we began the 3 hour drive. He did GREAT! Never once made a peep the entire time. Once we got there the lovin's began. He was so well behaved during our visit and even made a trip to the Assisted Living home where my Great Grandmother lives. She is 97 y/o. While we were visiting we were able to snap a 5 generational photo.
We didn't do much for Halloween. We were originally going to go to Lubbock to visit Bryce's sister and attend a Fall Festival that night, but my nephew got sick with the swine flu so that was a no- go. We ended up staying at the house and put Kyah in a cute little onsie and his pumpkin hat. He was not a happy camper about his beanie, but we made up for it in a later photo.
Halloween 09
As for Kyah.... I think that we have begun the Teething process already.. My mother in law said that Bryce began teething at 3 months and my mom said that I began around 3 1/2 months. We are going to the Pedi tomorrow for his 2 month check up so maybe she can confirm this for me. At this point he is showing all signs of teething and I am able to see the two bottom teeth. The only thing that soothes him are his teething tablets; hence.. why I think we have begun the process.
A few other stats:
- He is now wearing size 1-2 Diapers. The size 1 diapers were super tight.
- Sleeps in 6-9 month Pj's and wears size 3 month onsies
- He is grabbing his toys
- He is able to turn the music on, on his crib toy as well as the dangle toys on his activity mat.
- He is still kicking up a storm when he gets to lay down. (This is cute except when you are trying to change a diaper).
- He is eating 6-8 oz per feeding.
- He eats every 4 hours
- He sleeps about 10 hours a night. I think that we still have some time to go before he sleeps longer. With the teething process (I think) starting, we might have more sleepless nights than we have ever had before??? I'm not sure.
I'll post more stats tomorrow after his appointment. In the meantime... have a great day!
