Raider Victory

B Dubs and I have been in San Antonio for the last few days.  We left K baby with Lolly and Poppy and headed to the Ole' Alamo city to watch Texas Tech kick some Michigan State booty!

We headed out Friday morning and arrived to San Antonio around 3pm. We stayed in Aloft Hotel. It's a very contemporary hotel that is part of the W Hotel Chain.

My first calling... the bed. I was so tired I could barely hold my eyes open. I have been like that all week and I have no idea why. Either way, I took a nap for a few hours and then we headed out to dinner. We love Hibachi so we went to Benihana's. It used to be our favorite Hibachi restaurant but we have since found a new favorite. Unfortunately they don't have them in San Antonio so we settled for Benihana's.  I have to say that the service wasn't great and they only gave 5 choices of meals because it was New Years night. We ended up choosing Shrimp and Steak. Lucky for them, it was great food. Our server was extremely boring but the food was fantastic. I guess that's all that matters in the end anyhow.

Saturday morning we slept in... something we rarely get to do since  K Baby has been born.  After awhile we decided to go shopping. Let's just say that B Dub and I don't do so well together when we shop. Of course it was a disaster so we headed back to the hotel.  I took another [well needed] nap while Mr. Dubs watched a few bowls games on the TV. When I woke up (still sleepy), I got dressed and we headed out to the Bowl Game!!!!

We found parking at the Alamo Dome for only $10. This was amazing considering there was lots that were charging $40.  We waited in line for about 30 minutes before they opened the doors to the Dome and then we made a bee line for our seats.  We were on row 9 at the 10 yard line. Whooop Whooop!

We had hotdogs for dinner and funnel cake for dessert. Not so healthy and I am totally feeling it now.

The game was awesome and we had a blast! Best of all, Texas Tech won! Go Red Raiders!!!!
After all of the controversy this week over Lea.ch we were still excited to see the team pull off a fantastic win!

We got back to the hotel around 2am and hit the pillows once more.

It was a fun get-away for B Dubs and I, but we were happy to be heading home to our little man who is turning 4 months old today. We missed him so much!

Here are a few pictures that I got while we were playing.  I put a few toys in his crib and let him have some fun. He's such a ham for the camera that he will chase me everywhere in order to see it. So funny!

Peeping around his toy in order to see the camera again. Silly boy!

My family and I went to the Alamo Bowl a few years ago when Ohio State was playing in it! Such a fun game! I was very glad to see Tech pull out the win after all that happened! I am hoping the interim coach gets the head job!

So glad that you guys had a good time and a nice little get away, I know how you feel about being away from your baby though, it's tough especially the first few times!

Kyah is such a cutie!
