Thank you to all the folks visiting from Friday Follow. I would like to invite you to read my post today and if you can, help make a difference. It's the small numbers that add up to make a big one.
...............................................
I wasn't sure how to being this post until I was done writing it. I wasn't sure exactly what words I should use. All in all, I wrote this post because it's what blogging is all about. To encourage one another, to comfort each other and to have a network of supporters. It's all about going through a journey together and learning. This is the reason I share the following story with you. My hope is that you too will help make a difference.
A blogging friend of mine,
Mandy , has a family member that is extremely sick and they need our help.
This isn't just an ordinary illness. This is about an 11 month old princess named Penelope.
As a new mom myself I can only imagine what this mommy and daddy must be going through. I just praise God that I have a healthy little baby.
11 Month old Penelope has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer and continues to fight as hard as her little body can.
Please visit this website to see her sweet little face and read about her amazing fight. I have read and BAWLED my EYES out over this little girl. The fight that she has endured thus far and the many battles she has yet to face.
In addition there is an AWESOME Auction being held on her website today.
Here are a few words from her mommy...
"Little one’s like Penelope don’t know how to be pessimistic, so they just fight – they don’t know that other options even exist."
... And here are a few words from her Daddy...
"If there’s one thing that I can relay to everyone – NEVER TAKE YOUR CHILD BEING HEALTHY FOR GRANTED. That is the one thing that I admit I did that I can assure you I’ll never do again. I just want my baby to be home. Happy. Smiley. Grumpy. Who cares! Just home! I’m sure she wants it as much as Carina and I do."
With that said, they are doing everything in their humanly power to raise funds to help little miss Penny battle through this awful disease. She has the will and the fight in her tiny little being and continues to hang on, even through her darkest of days. Aaron {her Daddy} & Carina {her mommy} need just as much support.
Without going into too much detail
[you can read more about her here ] I will make my request.
They are priced at $12.50 each ($14.50 for XXL & XXXL).
That's about as much - or less- than you would spend on an outing to Mickey D's.
100% of the proceeds are being given to Aaron & Carina to help offset the expenses they are encountering while Penelope is being treated for cancer.
As someone that just went through a Horrific hospital stay myself, the pain that I felt was incredible. I couldn't imagine going through such a thing at such a young age and even through so much more.
I made my purchase... now it's your turn.
Please leave me a comment letting me know you made your purchase.
I know that I have several people that read this blog.
Please don't let me down.

My heart aches for this little girl and her family.
I just purchased a shirt.
I follow several neuroblastoma blogs...so heartbreaking
I purchased two shirts for Chad and myself.
Erin, I will go and check out her blog. My nephew was just sick in intensive care. He is ok now. I only know 1/2 of what this family is going thru! My mom has cancer. Its a terrible disease especially when it hits children.
Erin, I am going to post this on my blog tomorrow. Would that be ok? Maybe we can sell some more shirts. Let me know if thats ok with you.

Thank you so much Erin for this post and to everyone who is ordering shirts! Please blog about Penelope, tweet or facebook! I have a fan page set up for her on facebook. Penelope's Page is what it is called.
I most definitely will check this out.
My prayers are with them.
This breaks my hear into pieces. I am dying inside right now. How tragic. I'm over here worrying about my daughter not sleeping through the night, when some are worried whether their child is going to make it through one more day. Poor baby Penelope. May God be with her and her family and carry them through this tough time. My prayers are with them and I have purchased a shirt.
