Unplanned Adventures in the Backyard!

Well, Well, Well... what a day. Not only did K Baby turn 6 months old today [really, where on earth has the time gone]... but we also had an Adventure

After cleaning the house and playing all morning he took a nap. He woke up, ate his food and I went out to check the mail. While I was outside I realized that it was GORGEOUS weather. I just HAD to take him for a walk.

We put on our shoes, well, I put on my walking shoes, and we gathered all the goodies.

You must never go on a walk without the following:
- Your Phone (how did people ever survive without it)
- A bottle of water
- Your i-touch (so that you can both listen to some tunes when strolling)
- and your house keys! (it's very important to not only to "get" your keys, but to bring the right ones). Just a "tip".

We walk for about 30 minutes and I decide to head home.

We get home...

I get my keys out to open the door...

I realize that I do not have the key that unlocks the lock that I locked (did you get that?)

I look at all windows... yep... all of them are locked. Good parents keep windows locked. However, good parents also bring the right keys when leaving the house.

I call B Dubs. He is about an hour away.
I call B Dubs dad that lives a few streets away. No answer.
I call my mom who lives 30 minutes away. No answer.
I called B Dubs again.
Change my mind and decided that since I know my mom is home, I will call her again. Sure enough she answers (she was on the other line). She loads up the car and makes the 30 minute drive to my house to save us.

Baby K and I play in the yard and continue walking until she gets here to let us in.  I grab my phone [for the camera] and do what I do best... document our "Adventure".

What a day!  At least I we got to enjoy the beautiful weather and I got to burn some extra calories. Not to mention the adorable pics too!

Happy 6 months our sweet Baby K!

Happy 6 months to Kyah!
I always use the garage keypad when I go for walks.
If I had to bring my keys, I'd totally do something like that.
