Sodastream Review & Giveaway!

I am so in love this with product I don't even know where to begin. This is one of the coolest things I have ever used.  It's innovative, it's unique, it's eco-friendly and it's fun for the whole family! 

Without further ado, I introduce you to the Sodastream! 

The "At Home Soda Making Machine!"

Let me just start by saying that I do not drink soda very often for the following reasons: 

• It's loaded with sugar 
• It's expensive if you buy the 12/24 packs
• The 2 liter is cheaper but it always goes flat before we finish it
• When I do buy it at the store it takes a lot of room to store all of it at home

I do however LOVE Bubbles! (Carbonation for those that did not follow). 

After using the Sodastream Pure for the very first time I was in complete awe. After using it twice, I was hooked and after using it a third time, there was no stopping me!  I'm a total pro! (ok, well... it's not hard to be a Soda-Making-Pro when you use the Sodastream, but I'd still like to think it's me).

• For someone that HATES Diet Drinks (and refuses to drink them), these are GREAT!
• They have NO after taste at all. I have decided that it's due to the freshness of the soda. 
• They have ZERO calories per serving.

FLAVORED WATER: 

• I love water! But I love "Bubbles" too. Now I can carbonate my water instantly and even add flavor if I want. 
• There are 50 servings per container
• There are ZERO calories!

SODASTREAM - PURE

{measuring just a tad bigger than my paper towel roll,

 it's the perfect size to sit on my counter top for easy access}

THE SODASTREAM: 

• I'm not going to lie; at first I was looking for the power cord or a place to put the batteries in. Yes, apparently I was not smart enough to figure out that the CO2 tank does the work for you. 
• You simple install the CO2 tank into the neck of the sodastream and place the top on.
• You grab one of your soda bottles filled with chilled tap water and screw it onto the machine. 
• You pull the lever down 3 times until you hear it buzz each time. 
• Unscrew the bottle and you have just made carbonated water!
• To make soda... fill the cap of your soda mix flavor of choice.  
• Tilt the carbonated water bottle just a bit, pour in the soda mix and close bottle. 
• Gently swirl the bottle to mix the flavor
• Pour into glass and enjoy! 

Yes, it's THAT easy! 

MISC {just a few random things I discovered while using it}:

• When you pull the lever down to carbonate the water it will sometimes put air into the bottle. DO NOT assume that it's putting carbonation. Follow the instructions and wait to hear the Buzzing sound. That sound indicats that you are adding carbonation to your water.  It's SO much better when you follow the instructions. Otherwise it will taste flat. 
• The CO2 tank will make 60 liters before you need a new one. When you DO need a new one, send your back to Sodastream and they send you a new one. Awesome right!

• When you pour the Soda Mix into the Carbonated water, pour it slowly. If you pour it in too quickly it will fizz up just like your root beer float does when you add the ice cream! You know what I'm talking about don't ya!
• It's super easy to clean! You just rinse with warm water and dry. 
• After I rinse it out, I have learned to just fill it back with with water and put in the refrigerator so that it will be chilled when I am ready to make more soda.
