At My Husbands Request

Because my Husband is not a fan of Giveaways and Parties, he has requested that I go back to blogging like I used to. I think that he might be on to something. He's good like that.   So in my efforts to serve him best, I will make a promise to you, and to him, to keep the giveaways to a minimum. Cause let's be honest, the easiest thing to do is blog about my family anyway.

For instance, here's what we have been up to these past few weeks... minus those vacation pics. Those will have to wait until Monday.

This little face is one that about drove me up the wall on Thursday. Poor Kyah is cutting two more teeth. As much as I would like to say that I have had it with this teething stuff... there isn't much I can do about it. We are getting through each phase as they come. So far we have 6 teeth and are currently working on 2 more. It's just ickified.

On a lighter note, we are enjoying summer time! We love the pools, the fresh fruit and the family time.  These two boys own my heart!

Kyah baby loves to chew on the pool toys...
Kyah started swimming lessons this last Monday. The first day was fantastic. They keep the water heated so it's nice to not have to jump in ice water. Kyah is a natural in the water. As far as we can tell his favorite stroke is the breast stroke (the frog).  Tuesday was ok... not too awful. He still did great, but he sure was tired from the day before. Wednesday was icky because there was a thunderstorm coming in and hovering above. As long as it didn't have lightning they made us stay in the pool. It started raining right as we got out  to go home. We ran into the locker room and changed clothes. Once changed, I "papoosed" him in a towel and put a hat on him. We then ran to the car (which I swear was a 1/4 mile away.. literally). I know that doesn't sound far, but when it's raining and you are wearing squeaky flip flops and pushing a cheap umbrella stroller... it's far. Trust me!
My mom plans to attend a Swimming Lesson one day soon. Maybe I will have some pictures  and a video to share with you then. He sure is a cutie!

What else have we been up too...

The other day we went to visit Aunt Bethy and Cousin Sadie. Kyah had a good time playing with her toys and I'm certain that she didn't have that much fun sharing them.  They are going to be a hoot together as they grow up so close in age.

Are they not the cutest little cousins in the world!

I have been cooking a lot and plan on sharing some of those recipes with you. The posts are created... just waiting to be shared.

Happy Weekend! See you tomorrow!

We're spending a lot of time in the pool as well. My 18 mo is a fish! Loves the water and wants to swim all by herself. We're taking a class @ the local YMCA.

Sorry about the teething. We have been lucky with that. My DD tends to get 4 at a time, but doesn't bother her a bit. She chews on everything, but she doesn't get fussy. Right now it's the canines...

i wish lily would enjoy the water. she is in the stage where she wants in the water w/o our help *hello she's 20m* and to walk around. again hello the pool isn't the same height all over. so we bought her a floaty to keep her upright...she's still mad she can't reach ...so pool time isn't enjoyable just yet for us! haha

Aww they really are adorable! It looks like you guys have been having a great time. :)

We've been swimming just about every day. Aidyn cannot get enough of it this year!

I have only had Miss L in the kiddie pool once and she loved it. I plan getting her into the pool soon. Let's hope she loves it just as much.

I so feel you on the teething. Miss L only has her two bottom teeth and is cutting the top two right now. She has been awfully cranky, but we will make it through.

Looking forward to your post this week!
