Fun at Zilker Park

My parents came to visit us this weekend here in our new city. We decided to hit the roads and check out all of the fun things that Austin has to offer.  

Yesterday we visited Zilker Park. For those that are not familiar with the area, it's near Down Town Austin {you can see the sky line just blocks away}. 

Simply put, it is absolutely GORGEOUS!  We only stayed a few minutes because there was a storm rolling in.  
Zilker park is 351 acres and takes up space divided by a few main roads. After driving through the grounds we parked at one of the off leash dogs parks.  The view is amazing! 

We enjoyed the view and Kyah enjoyed running and crawling through the grass. 

He loved watching the dogs run around and would have given anything to play with each and every one of them. He is obsessed with all things dog!

Eventually the sky grew dark enough to cue us to head to the car. Just in time I might add. The bottom of the sky fell out about 2.5 minutes later.
