We are in the process of relocating to a new city. Most days it's fun but there are definitely days that things are very stressful and are slightly depressing. However, the pros still outweigh the cons. There is no doubt that we are having fun, but the burden we carry with us right now is our prior home. It's still on the market. We have had 12 showings and for some reason or another it's just not the right house for the buyers. The good news however, is that we lowered our asking price to rock bottom! We had no choice. It came down to making mortgage payments every month on top of coming out of pocket even more. Because let's be honest, in the end we would still lower the asking price and come out of pocket even more. We just decided to bite the bullet and lower it now in hopes that we will not have to pay too many more payments on the house.

With all of that said, I would like to share with you our decision. We have firmly made the choice to live in a one bed room apartment for a year! {eeks... yes you read that correctly}. We are going from a HOUSE to a ONE BEDROOM Apartment. With a baby and two dogs. I'm quite certain that you think we are crazy, but I assure you that it's for a purpose. A good purpose.

We looked at several apartments and had to find one that suited our budget {in case we still have a mortgage}. After looking at about 12-14 different complexes, we decided to go back to a particular one that we thought would be too expensive {but by this point we were running out of choices}. Needless to say, they were the best choice and the ones that we signed up with immediately. I'm excited to share with you that we got a 1 bedroom apartment, on the first floor {hallelujah} and it has a sun room! Sweet! It's a tight space, but I am quite certain that we will make do just fine. It will even allow us to have guest come stay with us because of that extra space the sun room provides. We move in on October 19th! Until then, we are living in the Corporate Housing Apartment.

Here's where YOU come in! I had an idea and I sure hope that you like it. {And for those of you that read my blog and do not have a blogger account... sign up for goodness sake. It's simple and I want to hear from you too}.
Once we move in, I will begin by posting a few options of home decor that I like. It will then be up to the readers, That's YOU, to vote on the option that I use/purchase. Because the space is small and we will be in there for a full year, the process will not take too terribly long to complete, but I do want YOUR opinion.
I think that it would be fun to have you along for the ride and in the end, I will have a place I love and you will have lots of pictures to look at! {smile}
What do you think? Will you be here to help?
NOTE: On Days that Require a Vote, I will post {Readers Choice} in the subject line along with a description of the item I need help with. There will also be a sidebar list as well.
And because I have not posted many pictures of Kyah lately, the ones pictured above were taken the last morning that we lived in our house. We were out playing in the backyard. Sweet Memories!

A one bedroom apartment!?! You're crazy! We live in a two bedroom apt and I feel like I'm going to go crazy sometimes! I'm sure it will be fine though! You will definitely save money and probably grow closer together b/c of it! Will be looking for the opportunities to vote!
WOW! We moved to a smaller house(have 1000sq ft less) and it really helped us realize what we actually use and what is just stuff piling up in our home. So after our first month we had a giant yard sale. Then I was able to sort virtually everything in our house and figure out the type of storage we would need and it has worked out great! It is handy being in a smaller space because it forces me to pick up more(not that I do that sooo much lol) and it's faster and easier to clean. Plus, I'm not going out, spending money and buying unnecessary junk because I have to think about placement of things more. Until you have your storage figured out and things organized you might be very frustrated but after you get over the initial hurtles, trust me, it'll be sooo great!
I will most def help you out by voting!
Wow I think you will definitely have an eventful year but it will be fun to be so (literally)close to your family : ) I pray your home sells soon!!
I will definiely vote--I love decorating so it will be fun to help you choose!! : )
