11" of Snow in Dallas!!!
(Apparently this is a Generational Snow fall here in this area and may not be see again for decades).
As you can imagine I have TONS of posts lined up... for example, the answers to my Q&A post, a few awards that were sent my way, as well as a few others that I would like to share with you all. However, in the meantime, this Dallas Snow is just too much fun and should be shared with the world (or at least here on my blog). We are getting ready to head outdoors for more fun in the next hour or so, but here are a few pictures that we snapped thus far.
Yesterday I took Baby K out and we did a "Snow Shoot". It was so fun to see him witness this much snow for the very first time. He took a good look at it and then went to touch. He did not, I repeat, DID NOT like how cold it was. Poor thing looked up at me with a handful and started to cry. He didn't know that if he would let go it would stop hurting. It was by far the cutest time we have shared together.
After the Photo Shoot we went in and warmed up by the fire and put the clothes in the dryer. Poor thing was soaking wet.
We I continued to measure the Snowfall throughout the day. It just got deeper and deeper. By 2:30pm we were up to 5"....
... and by 4:30pm we had 7"
B Dub had to drive 34 miles home from work and did great... all the way until he reached the driveway. Poor thing couldn't get pulled into the driveway. It took us an hour (and a car waiting behind him) to get the driveway shoveled, plowed with a Garden Plow and pouring hot water on it. It was finally the hot water that allowed him to get some traction and pull in. Mr Dubs was NOT a happy camper.
And here is a Video of the event.. too funny.
After we got the truck parked we took the dogs outside. I know that it's not funny to you all, but as their masters we laughed till we cried.
I just so happened to catch Prancer Cohen in action.
This morning we woke to 11" of snow... obviously some areas had more and some less, but this was on the flat surfaces.
11" of snow in the front yard
The house in the wee morning hours (more like around 7:30am when Baby K woke up, but still early).
The view down our street. Isn't it Gorgeous!
This is the guys tree across the street. It was just too pretty to not photograph.
And here is out cute little tree... Awww.
Here is the swing that I posted yesterday. Has a lot more snow on it now... huh?
And our mail box has more...
And the Holly Bushes have WAY more...
And so does the fence... (bored yet)??
B Dub got the urge to DIVE into the snow this morning... I am pretty sure that this will not be the last time I see this happen today.
Talk about BRRR!
Hope you are having a great day... I'm sure that Snow Day Part 3 will be tomorrow!
