Too Cute Tuesdays- Homemade Ties & Smiles

I created "Too Cute Tuesdays" so that I can share my most amazing, precious and handsome little boy with you.  Of course, I am certain that I will share him with you a few times throughout the week, but nonetheless, everyone deserves a Special Day to Shine!

Feel free to join in on the fun. Grab the button and post your  "Too Cute" little ones so we can all snicker at their adorable faces together!
Here's my cutie patootie modeling one of his new Ties that made him.

And a few more to show you his ADORABLE personality!

He is showing you his two teeth!
Though he has most of them covered by his tongue they are there. Sharp little boogers!

All smile in his Helmet!
(I have taken quite a few pictures of him without his Helmet on, but he still wears it 23 hours of the day. I just take advantage of the hour we have it off to snap a few pictures).

Daddy Dub was getting Baby K ready for a bath!
Goodness Gracious my boys are so handsome!!

I'm a Stay At Home Mom... Monday's are not supposed to be like this!

Well... things have been crazy over the weekend but they are only getting more crazy.  Boy oh boy do I have a fun filled week ahead of me.   I'm a Stay at home Mom and I can say that this Monday, well... feels like a Monday. Never thought that would happen. It just seems that there should be, oh say, 50 hours in day.

Today I have to call and make quite a few appointments. Hair, Nails, set up a new tanning membership (closer to home). I need to catch up on Laundry, clean the kitchen (and if you could see the remodel junk that's in there, that's a HUGE task in itself), blog, etc.

Lucky for you, I have completed one task, just one, and have sat down to blog.  I swear the kitchen will take me at least 10 gazillion hours when I'm done blogging.

Tomorrow however might just be a bit busier. I have to take Baby K to C-Tech, then spend more time shopping for things for the kitchen, take a load to goodwill, make curtains, clean the house more and who knows what else will find it's way into my day.

Wednesday I am hoping to get my hair did and my nails did. Nuff said huh?

Thursday... wow, Thursday.  I am supposed to go to Ikea Thursday. It's about an hour and something from my house. I should be meeting my brother there as well as a few other family members. I then will need to come back home, pack the suitcases and get ready to drive to Lubbock (6 hours away) that night. Goodness!! We have decided to leave around Baby K's  bed time so that he sleeps during the entire trip and we don't have to make so many stops. We'll see how that goes.

Sometime during all of this, I need to design 2 blogs, update the Dallas Momtourage Blog with the new information as well as create the March Calendar and Newsletter.

Anyone want to come clean my house and pack my suitcase while I work on the fun stuff?

Random Wednesday: Project Cook

I created Random Wednesdays so that I can share a random activity that has occurred during my week.
Because I always have so much to share, the majority of my post topics end up being Random anyways. However, this will allow a special day for the most random of topics. Join me if you would like.

Today's Random Topic is:
Project Cook!

Not like Julie and Julia (which does sound SO fun), but it's more along the lines of Before & After, Paint, a little Manual Labor... getting the picture.

I began redoing my Kitchen on February 10th.  We have had the same style/decor in there for 5 years and I had to get a new look.  I have changed every room in this house numerous times (like in 6+ times each) but I have never bothered with the Kitchen.

Why it stayed the same for so long:
1- B Dub liked it just the way it was
2- The time it would have taken was time I didn't have
3- I like things done immediately and I hate projects that take more than 2 days to complete.
4. I just didn't know what look I wanted even if I DID redo it.

Why it's being done now:
1- When I have my mind set on something there's no stopping me (regardless).  My motto- Where there's a Will, there's a way! And for the fact that B Dub wanted new floors.  I figure, new floors= a whole remodel! Don't you think??
2- Being at home with Baby K has freed up my schedule (just a tad bit).
3- I figured that there is NO WAY on earth I would be able to re-do my kitchen in two days so I would just have to suck it up. I'm doing all the work myself (minus the people to install new floors and the people to install new countertops) and I have a 5 month old.  Reality got the best of me.
4- I finally decided on a new look.. and I'm loving it so far!

Here is a Sneak Peek!

I'm not giving it all away just yet, as I have quite a bit more work to do in there (as in weeks more I'm sure). I'm only getting the chance to work on it Between Naps, Between Blogging and Between Designing Blogs.

Just as soon as it is completed I will take some photos and show you the entire before and after!

Nuff Said...
............................................................

We had a great weekend playing in the snow, celebrating Pop's 60th birthday and seeing family that lives too far away.

In other news, we now have a Full Time Sitter. K Baby is now able to fully sit on his own, play with his toys, throw things, bang things, etc. He can do this for up to 25 minutes at a time and I am LOVING it. Makes playtime so much more fun!!!

Here are a few pictures that my mother took at her house... so pretty!
(Her home was built in 1901 and they have completely renovated it. Gorgeous home).

Snow Day Part 2

11" of Snow in Dallas!!!
(Apparently this is a Generational Snow fall here in this area and may not be see again for decades).

As you can imagine I have TONS of posts lined up... for example, the answers to my Q&A post, a few awards that were sent my way, as well as a few others that I would like to share with you all. However, in the meantime, this Dallas Snow is just too much fun and should be shared with the world (or at least here on my blog). We are getting ready to head outdoors for more fun in the next hour or so, but here are a few pictures that we snapped thus far.

Yesterday I took Baby K out and we did a "Snow Shoot".  It was so fun to see him witness this much snow for the very first time. He took a good look at it and then went to touch. He did not, I repeat, DID NOT like how cold it was. Poor thing looked up at me with a handful and started to cry. He didn't know that if he would let go it would stop hurting. It was by far the cutest time we have shared together.

After the Photo Shoot we went in and warmed up by the fire and put the clothes in the dryer. Poor thing was soaking wet.

We I continued to measure the Snowfall throughout the day. It just got deeper and deeper.   By 2:30pm we were up to 5"....

... and by 4:30pm we had 7"

B Dub had to drive 34 miles home from work and did great... all the way until he reached the driveway. Poor thing couldn't get pulled into the driveway. It took us an hour (and a car waiting behind him) to get the driveway shoveled, plowed with a Garden Plow and pouring hot water on it. It was finally the hot water that allowed him to get some traction and pull in.  Mr Dubs was NOT a happy camper.

And here is a Video of the event.. too funny.

After we got the truck parked we took the dogs outside.  I know that it's not funny to you all, but as their masters we laughed till we cried.

I just so happened to catch Prancer Cohen in action.

This morning we woke to 11" of snow... obviously some areas had more and some less, but this was on the flat surfaces.

11" of snow in the front yard

The house in the wee morning hours (more like around 7:30am when Baby K woke up, but still early).

The view down our street. Isn't it Gorgeous!

This is the guys tree across the street. It was just too pretty to not photograph.

And here is out cute little tree... Awww.

Here is the swing that I posted yesterday. Has a lot more snow on it now... huh?

And our mail box has more...

And the Holly Bushes have WAY more...

And so does the fence... (bored yet)??

B Dub got the urge to DIVE into the snow this morning... I am pretty sure that this will not be the last time I see this happen today.

Talk about BRRR!

Hope you are having a great day... I'm sure that Snow Day Part 3 will be tomorrow!
