Memphis Part 2- Aren't you SUPER DOOPER EXCITED!

First let me warn you. Unless you are family this post will probably bore you to tears. There are quite a bit of family photos here.  However... if you are family, you better be grateful that I am boring my other readers. I guess you win some you lose some. Ah.. who am I kidding... I blog for myself anyways.

Elvis's Car Museum.

I won't bore you with all of the car pictures
(though they are really neat cars) but I did have to share the Classic PINK Cadillac with you.   I totally need one of these!

We then went on board the Lisa Marie.
Here are a few facts about this plane.
-It's MUCH bigger than it appears to be.
-It has 3-4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
-A game room, a Conference room/Dining Room
- Many, Many TV's
-An 8 Track Player and any other music thing they had back then
- Elvis kept Scotch and a few fine liquors on board for guests, but he himself drank Gatorade, Club Soda and Diet Coke.
-The Seat Belt Buckles are made of 24 Carat Gold.

We went to visit Aunt Candy & Uncle Bill.
Pictured here is Aunt Candy with Sadie bug!

We have Aunt Au (90) with K Baby!

And here we have Papa with K Dubs!
This is K Baby's Great Grandfather.

When we got home the boys needed to rest.
K Dub obviously needed to watch over Cooper.
It's amazing how fast they grow up.  These 2 boys are 5 months apart to the day.

That evening we visited with Uncle Buddy & Aunt Linda.

And of course we had to try and get a photo of all three of them.
Here K Dub is trying to tell Cooper that everything will be fine. That the flashes will soon stop.

K Baby was having to take a better look at Cooper. He couldn't believe that he was actually sleeping though all the madness.

Finally... we have all 6 eyeballs!

And then a New Momma/Baby Picture.
(No we did not plan to all have on jeans and long sleeve black shirts. When we all got dressed that morning it was total accident).

While parked to eat in the car, K Dub thought it would be fun to act like he was driving.

And I just HAD to share this adorable picture of Sadie!

Also.. tomorrow I will be posting before & after photos of the Kitchen Makeover!  Be sure to come back and check them out!

First, I have to apologize. I'm super busy and I have not had time to compose a post on Memphis Part 2.  Instead, you will get this adorable picture of K Baby.

I promise that I have more interesting posts coming. Really...I do. I actually have everything organized,  I just have to have more than 10 minutes of free time to get it all done.. maybe tonight (maybe).

K Baby is definitely keeping me SUPER busy these days. He's finally down to 2 naps during the day and it's making mommy have to use her creative thinking in order to keep us both busy.

Also.. be sure and enter the giveaway over on Spit Happens if you haven't already. I will be announcing the Winner on April 1st! Time is almost up.

Meet Elvis - Memphis Part 1

As you all know, Baby K and I went to the Memphis this past week to visit our new cousin, Cooper!

While we were there we took advantage of some of the local entertainment.

The first call of duty... Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley. Call me silly, but this has always been on my "Bucket List".  It's rare that I actually get to mark things off of my list so needless to say I was very excited about this venture.

I'm sure that several of you have been to Graceland, but in case you haven't and you are curious to know what Elvis's home looks like, here ya go.

Me and Baby K In Front of Graceland Mansion.
Elvis bought this home when he was 21 years old for $100,000.

The living Room & Piano Room.
They placed Elvis's casket in front of the stain glass when the funeral was held there at the house.

Another view of the living room...

He had always promised his parents that he would give them a nice life. This was their bedroom there in the house.

Kitchen... (with a TV).   This was just opened for tour in 1995 because his Aunt Delta still cooked in it until 1993.

The dining room... This picture makes it look much larger than it is.
It's about a 12x15 foot room... if that. And the table is small and only seats 6.

The "Jungle Room"
Apparently it took him 30 minutes to pick out everything in this room... can't tell can ya?? haha
Unfortunately this picture didn't turn out very well but you can see the green carpet on the floor and the ceiling. Ooo La La!

Elvis's "Media Room"! I can only imagine that this was top of the line back in the day.

That would be me and Baby K. Seems that Elvis had to have mirrors everywhere [he liked to look at himself]. Since they wouldn't let you use a flash, this was the result of my photo attempt.

This here beauty was the Game Room... Floor to ceiling fabric, which is not to mention HIDEOUS!

See what I am talking about... ick!

This is the back of the house [if you can't figure that one out on your own]

His Dad's office that was out behind the house.

This is the ever so famous Gold Suit!
It totally "suited" this space since this is where they store all of the Gold Records, etc.

A VERY SMALL NUMBER of Gold Records that he received.
Seriously.. I took over 400 picture while we were there. Trust me when I say that this is just a tad bit. That boy was talented!

A few more...

And a few more... However this is still just a few.

The wedding get-up.  Totally in style... don't you think?

And call me an idiot, but I had NO IDEA that he was buried there.
Apparently there were too many people that tried to dig him up, so they just picked him up and put him back at the house.

Part 2  tomorrow!

And that BIG NEWS I have to share with you all will have to wait just a bit longer. We still have a few things to tie up before I can announce. Don't you just hate when that happens.

Sneak Peek...

Well, K Dubs and I made it back from our week in TN.

Since I am beyond exhausted I am going to spend the weekend resting.
NOTE: This is what 18 hours in the car with a 4 month old and a 7 month old will do to ya.  You need a few days to catch up.

With that said, I will begin posting about our amazing trip on Monday. We had a blast! We even visited Grace Land (Elvis) while we were there.

In the meantime, I just HAD to share with you the newest [most adorable] little boy, Cooper!

Cooper is seriously the most laid back little boy I have ever met.

Perfectly content in his mothers arms.
