Is case you are curious...

In case you are curious, I have been busy working on a few blog designs this week.

Be sure and stop by my design site and become a follower.  Because I never talk about it, it's feeling a bit unloved and un-followed right now. {poor thing}.

Also... in case you are curious... I HAVE A FULL TIME WALKER! Granted, my son is a bit stubborn {I have no idea where he gets this from} and still chooses to crawl when he wants to get somewhere fast. But overall, he walks everywhere. It's such a cute little site. I will most definitely get it on video and post soon. He's just growing up so fast.

Oh, and I received my Shutterfly book in the mail. It's AMAZING! Words can not even begin to tell you how thrilled I am with the quality. Its wonderful and worth every.single.penny.

This week I will be planning all of those last minute birthday party details and I will be cooking for lots and lots of people! I can't wait! It will be so much fun! Stay tuned....

Feels like home!

Kyah and I will be hitting the roads later today to head back to our house in the Big D. I am waiting until evening time so that Kyah will sleep most of the ride home. Not sure I have mentioned, be he is seriously one of the worlds worst passengers.  I am very disappointed to find out that he is in fact not getting better in the car the closer he approaches his old age of 1. He can not stand sitting still and being confined for that length of time. Traveling at night has been our best solution.

As for the "new place"... check it out. It's all kinds of lovely. {if that's what you can call it}.
Disclaimer: These photos were taken with my phone. I'm too lazy to upload the ones that were taken with my camera. Please note that the quality of the photo does not help in making it prettier. It is what it is regardless of photo quality.

LIVING ROOM:

DINING ROOM:
{and my cute little puppy girl}

KITCHEN:

MASTER BEDROOM:

THE PATIO VIEW:

THE GORGEOUS LANDSCAPING THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY:
{It's  icky and horribly south western style themed. It has a bunch of rocks and dirt}

In my attempt to make it more "homey" I hit up Ross and bought a few items that gave it some spice!
For $10 I bought both of these jars. One is storing Sugar, the other... Dog Treats.
I purchased a few candles until I can bring my Scentsy warmers with me next week.
You may even notice that I put the cigarette trays to use and used them as a Candle Holder.
I'm fancy like that!
{there are a few other items that I bought but I do not have pictures at this time.
You will just have to hold your horses a bit longer}.

We have throughly enjoyed our visit to see Mr. Dubs {aka, Daddy}. We are very sad to leave him today, but we know that we will be together again in a few shorts days to celebrate a very special little boy's 1st birthday.

I will be very busy this week trying to tie up the loose ends for Kyah's Big Day {cooking and decorating}. I will also be busy scheduling the moving company to come and pack up the house and move it to the new city. In addition I will be taking care of some last minute appointments that I need to have before I leave "home". For example, this hair-did needs a trim and my eye balls need new contacts before I rip them out of my head go insane with the constant burning.

I will be back with more updates and party details throughout the week.   Be sure to come back and visit for party pics this weekend! Oh, I can't wait to share with you!

" Together is the Best Place to Be"

That's one of my all time favorite quotes. I just love it. It also happens to be very suiting for our family today.

As you know, this past Monday Mr. Dubs moved to our new city and had to leave Kyah and I behind. {boo}.

Today, Kyah and I made the trip to our new city to be with Daddy! We had a great road trip and are so glad to be together again as a Family.

We arrived at our new "Temporary Home" and well... it's not like our house. It's a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor with parking a block away.  Not to forget that I have a baby and two dogs to tend to. {ick and more ick}.

The apartment itself is great. It has the crown molding, the furnishing are great, the bed linens are amazing and it's floor plan is very spacious. I'll try and share some pictures with you all tomorrow.

After settling in we hit the roads to go shopping and buy our sweet baby boy some toys to play with here. I left his at home, considering he rarely plays with them, I didn't feel to bad about that.

Stop #1... Ikea
{Bad quality photos. They were taken with my phone}
Daddy thought it would be fun to put him in the bin of stuffed soccer balls.
I have to say... Kyah did have a great time! It was precious. There was another couple in the kid area with a little one that did the same thing after we walked away.
It's always fun to be a trend setter. {ha}

Kyah was in a totally goofy mood this evening.
This picture is proof. What a silly boy! He looks like a little mouse.

Stop #2... Petsmart

Even though we went in for puppy stuff, we had to stop by the fish.
He thought they were great.
It's one of our favorite stores. He just loves watching animals.

On a slightly different note, I need your help!
As I mentioned above, we are now living on the second floor in an apartment with two dogs and a baby.  Because we are used to a house, I really need some advice.

What in the world do you do about taking the dogs potty? Normally I would just open the back door and let them out. Now I am going to have to put them on leashes, get Kyah, walk down the stairs {and hope that I can keep my balance- as they are a bit excited they are in a new place and pull too hard}.  I am not leaving my child in this apartment for one second while I take them outside. Lord knows how long it would/will take them to potty anyways.  At this point, I am just clueless. I bought some potty pads at the store { 10 for $3.99- in case they didn't work} and well... the dogs just look at it like I put a napkin on the patio. They are clueless!

So, if you have any help, I would really appreciate it. I am sure with time that I will figure something out, but if you can give me a head start, that would be wondeeeeeful!

Kyah's First Year

In anticipation of Kyah's 1st Birthday {in only 12 more days}, I wanted to share a little something that I have been working on for a full year. I say that, because not only did I begin a "manual scrapbook" for Kyah, but I also created a digital one that is now being made into a 100 page hard-cover book. I started on both of them the week we came home from the hospital and have not stopped working on them since.

I have documented each and every week of his life since conception {call me crazy, but I love it}. I have a pregnancy scrapbook that I was able to complete that began with week 4 and ended with his Birth.

This book is our Birthday Present to Kyah.  My brother and I had the best time {and still do} pulling out our baby/childhood pictures and reminiscing. My hope is that, he too, will share that trait.

Here is a slideshow of "The Book" entitled, My First Year.

In addition, the book will be left out during his  Birthday Party. I created two pages in the back of the book that will allow for his Birthday Guests to sign. What a great Keepsake!

Low-Key Celebration

Two Days in a Row...  Wha? Wha?  Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I actually decided to post two days in a row.
Mr. Dubs and I just celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary this past Saturday. Life has been so crazy these past few weeks that we both forgot about it until we saw the date on the alarm clock. {ooops}.
Because he was moving and we needed to get things packed up, we settled on something very low key. We went shopping at North Park Mall. He was the only one that bought something. {Weird, I know}.  We came home and enjoyed our Kyah time and then went grocery shopping. {wee}.
However... we did stop by the Mexican Meat Market to pick up dinner. {mmmm}. Together, we cooked our anniversary entree. It was delish!

The Cactus Leaves are called Nopal. You cut off the stickers, brush it with a little oil and grill it. Grilled Corn on the Cob is simply amazing.  {shuck it a bit, grill and then finish shucking when it's cooked}. The far left "Green Items" are Mangos. The little white things next to the corn are little onions called Cebollitos..  You just grill them and eat the little onions off the bottom. {drooling just thinking about it}. Of course there is Bistec {meat}, Lemons {limes} and a white onion.  For our drink we had Apple Soda. In Mexico they call it Sidral Mundet.
Again... very simple and very low key. Dinner was amazing and we had a great time reminiscing over this last year. Boy how life can change so quickly. {For the better of course}.

Cheers!

Yep... Life is Officially Crazy

Without going into too much detail, life has officially taken a turn for Crazyville! It's pure chaos these days.

In 14 days I will have a 1 year old! Really... did I just type that out. A 1 year old. I think I am going to go have a heart attack now. Geez.

In 15 Days I will be moving to a new city. That should read something more along the lines of... in 15 days Kyah and I will join Daddy in a new city. Yes folks... you read that right. Kyah and I are on our own beginning this morning. Now, to all you crazies out there... I am the proud owner of a shot gun. That is no lie. Therefore... do not try and hunt us down. Mama Bear will most certainly reveal herself and I can guarantee that you will be sorry.

Currently I am working on more blog designs that I can count. I am still working on Kyah's Birthday Party and I am selling me some Scentsy!  I am currently hosting a Grand Opening Party. Want to join, click here and select "Grand Opening Party".

Everything listed above occurs between naps; which might I add; are less and less as we approach ONE!

I can't wait to share with you all, Kyah's Big Day!  Lots of family and some close friends are sure going to make his day extra special!

Man vs. Woman

As you can tell, I haven't had much time lately to compose a blog entry. Blah. I hate that. I love blogging. However, there are so many things going on right now that I had to come to the realization that there are more important things.  I'm sure that my husband's jaw hit the floor reading that. He seems to think that my life's sole purpose is to blog.  Now where would he go and get a crazy idea like that?

Bottom line... I am still short on time this morning. Blah again! But, my wonderful hubs sent me this little cutie in an email this morning. I just had to share with you all and see if you get the same little giggle I did.

NOTE: "She" never makes it to the Gap. {haha}

Now I am off to Hobby Lobby.

I'm just running in to grab a few items........

I promise!

Schlitterbahn

Only the worlds greatest waterpark. {It has been voted the best for 12 years in a row}. It's by far one of my favorite places on earth. I love water, I love water parks and boy... it's just great!

This year was even more special because we got to take Kyah with us.  He had a blast!

After a long 3 hours playing in the water, it was time to chill out in the tube up by the table.

Interupting Regularly Scheduled Blogcasting...

To announce that we have STEPS

Kyah took his first independent steps today. However, I should clarify that we are not quite walking on our own, but I have a feeling that it will be very very soon. The fact that we have some steps, any steps, is a huge "step".

Also, I wanted to let you all know that I have become a Scentsy Consultant. I'm sure you all have a Consultant that you use, but in the event that you do not, I'd be glad to help out.

I got ALL this fun Scentsy stuff when I signed up.  There are some auh-mazing new products coming out soon. {eeeks}!

{Picture was taken with my Phone, in a dark room. That equals very bad quality}

I will not be posting about it much more, but I will have a link on my sidebar for those of you that are in need of a consultant!

I have a few more vacation pictures that I will share with you in the coming days. After that... a few more givaways, more fun stuff and then we have a little special someone that turns ONE!

Vacation Continues

We are on our second full day of vacation and we have enjoyed the following activities thus far:

Our view while eating breakfast on the deck...

A day of shopping at the San Marcos Prime Outlets. Talk about shop till' ya drop!

Several games of not-at-all-competitive-game-of-horseshoes.

{checking to see who was closest}

Amazing dinners consisting of Spaghetti and Sloppy Joes.

Total and complete PLAY TIME!
Alyssa being silly! Just thought this was too cute to not share with the family.

I asked the twinks if they could blow kisses... I'm not sure they understood.
Still made for a cute picture!

Collecting Shells from the Comal River!
We have also enjoyed the river rapids on the Comal River. Kyah did great (although he did not get to go on the fast rapids). Pictures coming soon. I'm too lazy to upload them right now.

What are you looking at?!

I'd like to announce that we made it safely to our vacation destination.  Tomorrow night I will have some more pictures to share with you all. However... this is the picture of the day. If you know Kyah, then you will know that he has "the look"...
He uses it all the time to make you feel like an Idiot!
