Is that SLIME?

Seriously my friends, I have NEVER had more fun with  a "substance" in my entire life. Many of you know this activity through grade school. Let's just say my grandschool was mega boring because I never got to make this awesomeness.  This "awesomness" that I am referring to is called Oobleck. Apparently I am way behind in the "times". I'm working on it.

Is it a Solid? I see a crack in it?

Nope! Not a solid... Or wait. Is it? It's not wet. It just LOOKS wet!
I'm confused.
Last year I was forwarded information about Oobleck. I decided that I would save it until I felt Kyah was old enough to enjoy the activity. Little did I know that I would fight him for it because it was so cool. {I kid, I didn't fight him over it, just moved him over so I could play}.

For those of you that have never heard of Oobleck, I totally encourage you to make it. It's super easy and it's pefect for those days where you are looking for that special indoor activity.

For those of you that have children old enough to explain things to you, this would be a great time to have your kids try and explain the texture of this. It's nearly impossible, but there is no wrong answer.
What You Need:

My personal opinion {and you know your kid best} is that 17-18 months is about as young as I would go. Of course, the age limit is endless.

Not only was this extremely easy and cheap to make but I'll be honest in saying that it was an even easier clean up. I grabbed ONE wet paper towel and wiped up the mess on the floor, the tray and his clothes. It wiped up so easy. Run hands under water and it washes off like no body's business!

Now go... have some Oobleck fun!

I am SO trying this with Finn. A friend of mine just made it for her son's birthday party and said the boys never left the activity table because it was so fun. It's a bonus that it looks super easy to do.

My kid's describe it as quicksand. :p Which it essentially is...a solid that masquerades as a liquid! :D
