I'm not afraid to post pictures of dead things....

With all due respect of course, this day was a very sad day in our house.

You see, we had Poncho for 6 months. Poncho came home with us from Kyah's 1st birthday party and was a faithful friend for many months.  He was a great little gold fish.  While he kept to himself much of the time we had a great time watching him swim laps in his bowl and wiggle his way to the surface when it was time for some yummy flakes.

His home was cleaned once a week and was treated with the best of care.

Mommy decided that since he was such a good little fish she would buy him a friend.

Poncho's friend came home to live with him and was anything but a friend. This new little guy, who we named lil' nickel was a cutie. A cutie that died 5 days later. He was a nice little fellow. A very sharing fish {if there is such a thing}. You see... lil' nickel shared this nasty little disease with Poncho.

Poncho was a fighter and lived a week longer than we thought he would.  It was a very sad morning to wake and find him in a "forever sleep".

Kyah was such a trooper {as any 18 month old is} and was excited to upgrade his fish choice to a beta. A beta named Bogie.

The end.

I had a beta that lived for years! I got him in High school and he died my second year of college-hopefully Bogie has a long life as well :-)
