Trash to Treasure: Spring Green Patio Side Table
So... for those you that are new, I'm in the process of decorating my back porch. Exciting huh! We moved into our new house during winter and now that Spring is around the corner, I'm dying to make my little oasis outside. I can't wait until it's done. I can just picture it. Sipping on my lemonade, reading a good book {which by the way I just bought Water for Elephants} and watching little man play with his new set of golf clubs. Have you ever seen an 18 month old play golf.... edible, I tell ya. Edible.
Back on track:
I found this amazing little table at Goodwill for $14. It seemed a bit much, considering I bought this table for only $7. But, I knew was sturdy and had good bones. I also knew that it would fit perfectly under a window that I have on my patio.
I took off the hardware and filled it in with wood filler. After that set for a few minutes [I'm impatient], I started to sand. I painted and then applied a new little knob {pull} that I had bought at Michaels for $1 last year.
I distressed it a bit, cause that's just what you do right? I mean, after all it's shabby-chic.
In the end, she's a little pretty that sits under the planned window and serves as a nice little table that is just one more step to having my comfy-shabby-chic-style-patio!
