Mama Dubs Creamy Chicken & Biscuits

Here it is... the amazing recipe for Creamy Chicken & Biscuits.  This meal is hearty. Simple and delish! Very southern... just like I like em'. While I used the base of a similar recipe, this is my version.

Don't ask about the fat and calories. It's tastes yummy and that's all the matters sometimes.

WHAT YOU NEED:
1 tbsp Butter
4-5 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
1 Can Cream of Chicken {the small can will do just dandy}
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 Can Green Chili's {small can}
1 Small Onion
1/2 Bag of Frozen Green Peas {optional}
1 Can of Biscuits {I love the jumbo butter kind..mmm}
1 Bag of shredded cheese {I used colby jack}
Paprika {to taste}
Garlic Powder {to taste}

HOW TO
Preheat oven to 350*

Dice your thawed chicken breast into bite size pieces. Smaller pieces if you have a tiny mouth and large pieces if you have a bigger mouth.

Boil the chicken bites for about 10 minutes to cook it. It's okay if it's not completely done. You will cook it longer.

In a separate pan, melt butter and saute onions until soft. Add a dash of garlic powder and paprika to give it more flavor. So scrumptious.

Add your can of Cream of Chicken Soup, 1 cup Sour Cream, {1/2 bag of frozen sweet green peas} and your small can of Green Chili's Stir together and warm for about 5 minutes.

Drain your chicken and add the little bites to your creamy mixture. Stir together to coat your chicken bites.

Spray your  9x13 pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Pour your chicken mixture into the bottom of the pan. Place in the oven and cook for 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and pour as much cheese as you want on top. Place your 8 biscuits on top so that you have 4 along one side going long ways, and 4 going long ways on the other side.  {Doesn't take a genius for that one huh?}

Place in the oven and continue cooking for 20 minutes {or until biscuits are golden}.
Serve warm and ENJOY!
