Mama Dubs Strawberry Cream 4th of July Dessert

I love creating new recipes. I'm sure with the billions of people in this world that I am never quite the first one to "make something up", but I do have to say that this simple recipe was a crowd pleaser and definitely something worth sharing.

Mama Dubs Strawberry Cream 4th of July Dessert

What You Need:
2 Packages of Cream Cheese Softened
1 Large Tub of Whip Topping/Coolwhip
2 Pints Fresh Strawberries
2 Pints Fresh Blueberries
1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar

How To:
Wash/Rinse all berries.

Slice Strawberries into rings.

In a separate bowl, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1/2 of the tub of coolwhip.  Beat together with an electric mixer for about 2 minutes.
In a glass serving bowl, layer 1 cup sliced strawberries at the bottom. Top with a layer of "cream", followed by a layer of blue berries and topped again with a layer of cream.  Layer once more with strawberries and top with plain coolwhip.
Place a few whole strawberries on top, sprinkled with a few blue berries.

Chill for at least 3 hours and serve cold.

*Can be refrigerated overnight.
