Oh no I didn't!

A few years ago I changed the name of my blog.  When I first began blogging it was our last name.  Ya know, the traditional "The XX Family". Shortly after I had Kyah I thought it would probably be better to do away with the name and come up with something a bit more catchy and something that wasn't so personal. 


After going over a list of fun names with the hubs, he slowly crossed them off the list one by one until I didn't have anything left. Leave it to the hubs right?!  You don't ever see him on here blogging do you. Yea, that's what I thought.


I sat in my chair for a few more minutes {in silence since my heart was shattered} and started brain storming again. I remembered my husband telling me that he was known at work as "B Dub". Our last name is long and boring, but because it begins with a "W" it deemed a suitable fit. 


That my friends is the simple story of the name "Life in the Dub Lane".  Bare with me, that's not the funny part.


In our new neighborhood we are known as the "Dubs" simply because it's much more fun and flows off the tongue much easier than the real name does. I also have "The Dub Lane Kettlebell Fitness Challenge" going on and my business name is "Dub Lane Designs".  See all that Dubage? 


So the other day, I meet a lady. We are talking and then we get to the point of sharing names. Yes, people. I told her my last name is Dubs. While I guess it's not completely unheard of, I can't believe that I am beginning to think my last name is Dubs.  I mean, it goes further than that. When looking at Monogram items {ie: coffee mugs, etc} I have caught myself not one, not two, but multiple times looking for the letter "D". 


What's next.....
