Life in the Dub Lane: Dub Lane Updates

Because I have been on such a lengthy hiatus I'm going to use the oh so famous "bullets" to get your caught up.

First and foremost, I shall update you on Kyah. He's growing. Fast! He's 2.5 years old today. I know, I know. Where did the time go? He wears a size 10 shoe, Size 6 Diaper, 4T Clothes and 5T Pjs. He still sports his famous Faux Hawk. Even strangers know him by his hair-do. While that's cool, I still find it weird sometimes. He wants to potty in the big potty, but I'll be honest. I'm not ready and I don't really care right now. I'll back up a bit.... he THINKS he wants to potty in the big potty, but when it comes down to it, he's not quite as interested as he thinks. Moms know best, and this mom knows he's not ready. He has a "best friend" now... Judah. Judah was born exactly 1 month before Kyah. They are perfect for each other and I pray they are life long friends. Kyah can direct me when I'm driving and get us all the way to his front door. He's bossy

ADOPTION: I'm sure I posted a bit about it, but in case you missed it, we were Home Study approved on December 8th! We have had situations presented to us {one was even the day after we were approved} but they have not been the right fit for our family. Mainly due to cost. $50k+... no thanks. We want to love on a baby and love on her momma, but we don't want to sacrifice an arm and a leg to do so. We know that the right situation will come along when God says so. I have received a few emails about our adoption plan and thought that I would share the details in case you have the same question{s}. Bryce and I are looking to have an "identified adoption". This means that we are forgoing the use of an adoption agency and their high advertising fees. An "identified adoption" simply means that we are seeking to locate our own expectant mother that is looking to place her baby into a loving forever family. In order to do this we are asking our friends and family to share our adoption profile with anyone and everyone you know. Even if you do not know someone, there's a good chance that if the word is spread around enough, someone will know someone. If you have any questions at all, we are an open book. CRAFTS, COOKING, DECORATING: Decorating has not been my main focus lately, however we just started the back patio today. We painted the concrete!!! Of course, pics are coming. I have been cooking up a storm. We have gone to at least 97% Organic so that's been a fun change. I'll go into detail on that another day, but in the meantime, I still have some awesome recipes that you can make Organic or not! I'll be sharing them in the coming week.
