My name is Erin and I am also known as "mama". I am married to my best friend and soulmate, and together we have a precious family.
I enjoy sharing stories about my everyday life as a Stay At Home Mom, talking about Fitness, sharing Family Traditions and of course I love healthy {and sometimes not so healthy} Recipes.
I love to create anything and everything! I love taking something old and creating something new {making it pretty helps too}.
I'm pretty open, so if you have a question just ask. Thanks for stopping by!

It's crazy to say "just one more week" in reference to meeting my daughter for the first time. Granted, at this point we still remain cautiously excited and optimistic. Everything with the adoption has gone so smooth, it's hard to see a bump in the road, but we do know it's possible.
I have talked with our birth mother weekly {sometimes more than once a week} and we text regularly. Since she lives 3 hours away we will meet her for the first time when she is in labor.
We are waiting on the call and we will jump in the car and head that way. To think that it could be any day is so crazy.
We are ready, the car seat is ready to be put in the car and the diaper bag is packed. The suit case isn't loaded just yet, but it's in the corner of the room and waiting for us. Perhaps I'll see what I can do this weekend.
We were given tons of clothes, formula and diapers. The only things that I have purchased as of today have been the following {among a few other small items}.
Muslin Blankets from aden+anias. We chose the pack with Pink Elephants... of course. Everything that sweet Kyah chooses must have an elephant. That boy and his love for elephants.

You know how we are. Blue Bonnets are in the Texan blood. We are drawn to them like a humming bird to sugar water. {they are drawn to that right}.
Kyah and I ventured out to take photos in the Blue Bonnets as we have done in the years past. Last year was a bust. We only had a small little patch to sit in. We made it look huge, but in all honesty it was about the size of my foot. It was terrible.
This year I scored! I found this amazing field that was FULL of them. Simply gorgeous. I'll most certainly go back next year and take our daughter. {saying daughter is fun}.
Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

We have enjoyed keeping our little secret since last Monday {3/26}, but wanted to share the good news! Through word of mouth we have been matched with a wonderful birth mom who has chosen us to be the parents of a precious baby girl. We are expecting our new bundle to arrive in only 3 weeks! Please continue to pray with us for the health of our daughter and for the peace and comfort of her birth mother. We are cautiously elated and can not wait to share our journey with all of you that have loved and supported us along the way. All praise be to God!!!!
Of course, you can expect to see updates these next few weeks. We will be busy getting the house "extra" ready, traveling and then decorating a nursery.
We have everything we need for the nursery {minus a few small touches} and will wait until baby girl is home with us before we put it all together. And well, having family visit and helping decorate will be much more fun anyways.
Today I'm taking Kyah out to the field of blue bonnets to take pics. Expect those soon!
